Moving to Delano

Delano is just about 30 minutes from the hustle and bustle of big city living in the Twin Cities. Delano sits right along Crow River which allows families to enjoy many outdoor summer and winter sports as well as scenic trails for hiking or biking. We welcome you to the Delano community and we are certain you will find your new home here an enjoyable experience.

One of the best ways to avoid the flu, especially H1N1, is to make sure you and your family receives the proper shots. For more information on where to get the flu shot call 1-877-676-5414. They can direct you to where to go for your shots and answer any questions you may have.

Delano has a wonderful Farmer's Market now open. There's nothing better than biting into a fresh piece of fruit or vegetable and knowing that you are supporting local farmers. The Farmer's Market is located on the corner of County Line Road and Highway 12 in the Flippin' Bills parking lot. The market offers fresh produce, breads, fruits, maple syrup, eggs, beef and Kettle Korn! For more information about this, contact Deb Hoen at (763) 238-2702.

Recycling has become one of the greatest ways to help the environment and it takes very little effort to participate. Delano offers residents an organized recycling program to rid your home or office of hazardous waste and recyclables. From Anti-Freeze to stains and varnishes, there are ways to safely rid of these products. There is a small fee for some hazardous items to be removed. For more information or to make an appointment with the recycling company, call (763) 682-7338.
